....First heard of Dave when his then record label guy Matthew Murman sent me a copy of Dave's "Bars" Cd, which, being a CD but on the new Virtual Vinyl concept, has two sides and also begins and ends with a good old needle in the groove blanket. The songs themselves were 6 about being 'in bars' and the other 6 about being 'behind bars'.
Dave came up with guitarist friend Jason Montero (Honey Child) to do the second Indy Live program live in the studio, which we followed up by doing the Burton Live show the next night where Burton focused on Dave's more personal roots. (Burton Elias, Script Consultant/Rambos First Blood, Producer/Folks, Host of Burton live {I was his 'energetic engineer - Dick' /uh/ 'Richard'})
Dave at that time lived in the phoenix area performing 30 show a month for over 9 years and had 10 releases. Today he risides closer to LA last I heard. I appreciate his folk-rock stylings and also find his mellower songs touching on a deeper root, especially 'Next Time' and 'Your World'. Keep up the great work, Dave.
